The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis Review

The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis: A Short Review

St. Louis is commonly known as The Gateway to the West. Situated along the Mississippi River, St. Louis is a major midwestern city with plenty of charm and an abundance of activities to enjoy. Baseball fans, botanical garden fanatics, and U.S. landmark connoisseurs can all find something to love in St. Louis. For a bit of luxury during your journey to or through this bustling city, look no further than The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis. The hotel is located just outside of St. Louis in the trendy area of Clayton, Missouri. This property is perfect for executive travelers, devotees of The Ritz Carlton brand, or those looking for a local getaway that provides an elevated experience removed from the buzzing downtown area. The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis is located just 15 minutes from the St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis features amenities such as the largest dine-in wine cellar in St. Louis, a luxury spa, and over 30,000 square feet of onsite event space. There are two main restaurants onsite, as well as in-room dining service. A unique spot onsite is The Cigar Club, which is a bar and lounge designed for those who wish to indulge in cigar smoking in a lavishly designed, intimate space. Many of the rooms at this hotel also feature great views of the iconic St. Louis skyline.

The Lobby at The Ritz Carlton, St. LouisI stayed at this property with my boyfriend and our dog during our relocation from Orlando to Seattle. I’ve visited other Ritz Carlton properties before and I can assert with confidence that the St. Louis property has certain perks that other properties in the brand do not. This property embodies the essence of timeless luxury and sophisticated design. Any stay at The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis will have you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and reluctant to leave. Midwestern hospitality is amplified in all the best ways at this hotel, and you can truly feel the warmth and character of the midwest in every corner of the property.

One of the biggest perks I noticed while staying at The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis was the size of the rooms. There are 299 luxury rooms at this property, which features a mix of luxury rooms and suites for guests to enjoy. The rooms are spacious, to say the least. Masterfully designed and furnished, the layout of each room promises that every guest can feel comfortable during their stay. All rooms and suites at this property feature Juliet balconies and ample seating space to accommodate multiple guests. The smallest rooms at the hotel are still a whopping 530 square feet, and the largest suite is 2,500 square feet. These incredibly spacious accommodations give you as much room as you need to stretch out and truly enjoy your visit. We stayed in the Deluxe Guest Room, and it was the perfect size for the three of us.

During our stay, there was a beautiful wedding reception taking place in the event space onsite. We loved seeing the wedding party in the lobby and enjoying The Lobby Lounge alongside other guests. There was an orchestrated band situated in The Lobby Lounge during the evening, which created a lively atmosphere for guests of all ages to enjoy.

Another note about our stay: we were traveling with our four-legged furry companion, and we wanted to stay at a property that made him feel loved. The Ritz Carlton properties are known for being dog-friendly, and living up to the expectation that every dog that stays will be treated like family. The Ritz Carlton, St. Louis embraced our dog as soon as he jumped out of the car. Treats and cuddles from the parking attendants and staff made Harold (our dog) the happiest dog in the world. The special treatment didn’t stop even as we entered the hotel to check-in for our reservation. When we opened the door to our room, a dog bed and water bowl were already laid out before our arrival, along with a note wishing us a fantastic stay. This was the perfect start to our visit, and we were never once disappointed during our stay. Harold certainly wasn’t disappointed, either.
